At utstyret har noe å si, er tydelig, i tillegg til at forholdene på lufta sannsynligvis også spiller inn.

I årets CQ WPX CW var TS-570 skiftet ut med K3 og 1K-FA (som i contestsituasjon måtte kjøres i HALF power uten å overopphetes) med 2K-FA (som tillot MID mode uten å gå varm), mens wireantenneparken (GPs og dipoler) var uendret.

Resultatet ble antall kjørte QSOer opp fra 1800 (både i 2009 og 2010) til 2400 i år, dvs. økning på vel 30% :-)

LN3Z operated by LA3BO from my qth for most of the weekend, but I thought I
check out condx before going to bed late sunday evening. Boy - I suddenly was
"fresh meat" and a new PFX LA6, with only a few hours left of the contest )
The band was boiling, and quite a challenge to handle the pileup simplex - but
a lot of fun for 3 hours only.

We had a special guest from Norway Mr Skoobie LA6FJA, the rest of the crew was usual.The primary goal was to break old YU record in M2 and we achived it.
Great condx on higher bands, especially we enjoyed 15 and 10 meters.
