| This year we had 4 young operators including 3 YL`s from LA1K – Akademisk Radioklubb in Trondheim. They all did an outstanding job! The first 17 hours of the contest we enjoyed some of the best propagation ever on the high bands before the beatiful Miss Aurora decided to to make a show for the remaining part of the contest.
It was a struggle, but we kept on fighting and pushed the score to 15,6M. This will for sure be a new M/M record in Norway and the first time with over 10K QSO`s in CQWW SSB. The old record is 11,5M from 2021. The last couple of hours we were surprised by a good opening to JA and Pacific on 15 and 10. Usually thoose bands are quite dead here during night time in the southern part of Norway which is also known to be Europes North Dakota. Now we all are looking forward to 48 hour with good propagation and less QRM in CQWW CW. 73 de Olaf/LB8IB |
